Soma Juice Cleanses

 

Cleansing is an ancient and incredibly efficient way to reset the body’s systems.  When an animal in the wild is sick, it will fast knowing that this is the way to focus the body’s energy on healing rather than digestion.

Cleansing Preparation –

 

When we cleanse and fast we not only detox the physical body, but also the emotional and mental body.  Allowing yourself time to reflect in silence, especially in nature can be very beneficial.  You may find yourself purging old thought patterns that are disempowering or having feelings arise around something unresolved from your past.

 

This is an excellent time for journaling and writing your intentions for the next chapter of life.  

 

If you have to work that is ok, just give yourself a few hours a day of solo introspection.

 

Cleansing can also be done while we are very busy.  Sometimes when I have a lot on, I will do a juice cleanse so I don’t drain my energy digesting and don’t need to spend a lot of time eating.  This is only recommended for experienced cleansers. 

 

We suggest starting every morning with 1 liter of room temperature water with lime or lemon juice upon rising before your juices.  Ideally, wait a few hours before having juices throughout the day as needed.  Herbal teas without sweetener can be consumed throughout the day.  For the gentle cleanse, the veggie soup can be heated and eaten warm in the evening.
